You are Enough, You are Worthy, and You are Beloved

You Have a Gift

Spiritual gifts are God’s grace working in us to empower us to go into the world to meet the deepest needs. Spiritual gifts are given to be used to strengthen the community as we meet the needs around us.

Finding Grace

A Guide in Your Faith Journey

We can take the challenge to live out our faith EVERY day of the year

We can stand up for one another, we can feed each other, we can clothe each other, we can tell each other about the love of God that surrounds us, holds us and names us.

We can be the light of Christ for each other, not just when things feel happy, or even when there is crisis, but we are called each and every day to be God's children and called to care for the least of these.

Lean into Jesus today and everyday, and as you do, remember that you are enough, you are worthy and you are beloved.

Our Mission & Values

As Christians we are seeking, sowing, loving and serving all people.

Mission Statement

The mission of Indian Heights United Methodist Church is to worship God, to follow Jesus joyfully, and to build community.

Vision Statement

As Christians We Are: Seeking, Sowing, Loving and Serving all People!

Our History

Indian Heights UMC was planted by the Kansas City District Missionary Society of the Methodist Church, after it concluded that a new Methodist congregation was needed in the area. The Society purchased seven and a half acres at 103rd and Nall Avenue in October 1966. The site included a house and a pony barn. At that time, the site stood on Overland Park’s southern edge. The church building was completed in December 1970. Additional space and sanctuary remodeling took place in 1989, and other additions were built in 2004.

Open Doors

Very grateful this church opened it's doors on Thanksgiving to allow several area Celebrate Recovery groups to hold a "Friendsgiving". The area was perfect with a kitchen area and an area for tables to eat, fellowship and games.
